Arsenal morning news: Wenger reportedly safe as club eye up move for £17m PSG star

Arsene Wenger Waves

A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

The Telegraph has claimed that under no circumstances will manager Arsene Wenger be sacked this summer.

Speculation has been growing over the Frenchman’s future as the Gunners have seen their season decline after a superb start.

The Gunners could still win the FA Cup as they prepare to take on Wigan Athletic this weekend.

Italian source TMW claims that Arsenal are lining up a £17 million move for PSG star Marco Verratti.

Arsene Wenger will reportedly look to make additions to all parts of his squad this summer with the 21-year-old believed to be a priority.

However, the Gunners could find it difficult to get a clear run at a transfer as a number of top sides are likely to be interested.

Another player the Gunners could struggle to complete a simple deal for is Serge Aurier.

Chelsea scouts reportedly watched the French defender in action for Toulouse last weekend as they went down 2-1 against Lille.

Aurier has previously indicated that it would be very difficult for him to say no to Arsenal if they made an offer for him.
