A young right-back in France has been linked with a move to the Premier League, but favours one club in particular.
FC Toulouse's versatile defender Serge Aurier has wowed Ligue 1 crowds as he has enjoyed a break-out season filling in at both centre back and the right berth, returning five goals, seven assists, a 75% accuracy and a 2.8 successful tackles made per game average thus far in domestic action this season.
It is little wonder he has been scouted by Premier League sides as Newcastle United and Aston Villa have both been linked with making a bid in the summer, while Chelsea posted scouts at the Stadium Municipal in a match Toulouse lost 2-1 to Lille.
Even though Chelsea could table a larger contract, the player seems to prefer a move to Arsenal, should a transfer to the Emirates Stadium materialise - a venue many a French citizen or Ivory Coast international have played, with Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue both winning titles for the N5 side.
"Arsenal, I could not refuse," said Aurier to Foot Mercato. "You can ask any player if he would play at Arsenal, I think he would respond positively without hesitation. It is a mythical club… we know that many French [players] have marked the history of the club.
"It is surely a dream [to play at] Arsenal."
