Edging closer to title - Liverpool fans show importance of latest win

Liverpool won 2-1 away to West Ham United on Sunday, and after the match their fans just kept on celebrating.

Liverpool won 2-1 away to West Ham United in a vital match at the top of the Premier League table on Sunday.

Having seen both Manchester City and Chelsea triumph a day earlier, the Reds knew they could not afford to slip up against the Hammers. And they did what was necessary as two Steven Gerrard penalties ultimately secured the points after Guy Demel had temporarily levelled the scores.

After the match we found this vine of Reds fans celebrating after the final whistle, and duly posted it on our Liverpool Facebook page where it generated a considerable amount of interest.

The title-race may still have a few twists and turns between now and the last final whistle, but Liverpool are impressing as they maintain their form in the home straight.

If they can win against Manchester City next weekend, those same fans may not be just celebrating for 10 minutes after the match, but for the following week and, ultimately, all summer long.
