A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Emmanuel Adebayor is set to return to the Tottenham starting line-up this evening against Sunderland.
The forward is expected to replace the injured Roberto Soldado after carrying an injury of his own, which has restricted his performances in recent weeks.
Adebayor has been in revitalised form since he was ushered back into the Tottenham first team by Tim Sherwood.
In transfer news, spurs have reportedly made Adam Lallana their priority transfer target for the summer.
The Southampton midfielder has been linked with high profile moves to Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Mirror claims Lallana is a player Sherwood has asked Daniel Levy to try and do a deal for after the World Cup.
Sticking with Sherwood, the boss has revealed that his family believed rumours on Twitter that he’d hit a player.
Rumours spread on the social media site following Tottenham’s defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
“I was getting family and friends texting me saying: 'Why did you do it?' They didn't say: 'Did you??' It was all 'Who did you hit? Who did you hit?!” said Sherwood.
