Predicted Chelsea XI to play PSG - Eto'o to play if fit!

Match to be played on Tuesday April 8 2014 at 19:45 GMT. Venue: Stamford Bridge, London.

Chelsea will be looking for a much better performance in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG secured a 3-1 win during the first game in Paris and will be looking to kill off the tie, securing their place in the last four.

Chelsea go into the game missing Ramires through suspension but they come off the back of a solid win against Stoke over the weekend, which gives them confidence and momentum.

Here’s the side Jose Mourinho may opt with tomorrow night.

GK – Petr Cech

The Czech Republic international should keep his place in goal. He’s one of the most experienced players in the Chelsea backline and will be determined to keep a clean sheet.

RB – Branislav Ivanovic

The defender has been a reliable player at right-back. He needs to get forward and support the midfield and attack well when he can.

CB – Gary Cahill

Cahill has been a mainstay in the heart of the back four. He deals with aggressive players well so will be up for the challenge of containing Edinson Cavani, who’s likely to start this game through the middle for PSG.

CB – John Terry

The fact Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t be playing probably just means that Terry will keep his place in the back four, with the main worry over his recovery time from the weekend.

LB – Cesar Azpilicueta

The Spaniard has been superb playing out of position at left-back. He deals with players of different types well and needs to shut down any space which appears on his side of the defence.

RM – Willian

A little harsh on Andre Schurrle who has played well recently but Willian coming back into the midfield won’t be a major surprise. He can hurt PSG from several different positions.

DM – David Luiz

With Nemanja Matic ineligible and Ramires suspended, David Luiz could be used in front of the Chelsea back four. He can also bomb forward well if the Blues need a goal late in the game.

CM – Frank Lampard

Lampard was taken off with 20 minutes left against Stoke, which could be a big hint that Mourinho plans to use him in this game. He injects experience and authority into the midfield.

AM – Oscar

Oscar can slot in behind the main striker. He’ll look to pull the strings in attack and create chances.

LM – Eden Hazard

The Belgian had half an hour against Stoke to stay match sharp and he should come back into the team. His threat from the left hand side doesn’t need to be sold.

ST – Samuel Eto’o

If Eto’o is anything close to being fit then he could be thrown straight back into the team.
