Manchester United scouts were reportedly in attendance yesterday as Pacos de Ferreira took on Sporting Lisbon in the Primeira Liga. They were said to be checking out the €90m valued pair of William Carvalho and Carlos Mane - while recent reports have also seen them increasingly linked with Argentine left-back Marcos Rojo.
But on top of that they were said to be keeping tabs on a forgotten player - Bebe.
The £7.4 million flop never lived up to the potential that fee commanded - and has been loaned out to Besiktas, Rio Ave and, this season, Pacos.
And after a difficult start things have recently turned for the better - as Bebe has started scoring wondergoals on a weekly basis.
Last weekend it was a 35-yeard free-kick worldy that did the trick - taking his tally to seven goals in his last ten games.
So, would United scouts have been pleased with what they saw last night.
You bet they would have.
While Carlos Mane only played the first-half before coming off as a half-time substitute - both Carvalho and Rojo scored in a 3-1 triumph for Sporting.
And in terms of Bebe - well he did it again.
The flop is seriously giving people doubts as to his flop status as last night he scored his eight goal in 11 games.
Unstoppable form that is seeing him tipped to perhaps make the Portugal squad for the World Cup!
Here is his goal from the game…
