Former Chelsea player trying to bribe ex Spurs star €200 for a goal

Mikael Forssell has been joking with his HJK team-mate Teemu Tainio.

Chelsea fans - remember Mikael Forssell? Tottenham Hotspur fans - remember Teemu Tainio?

You probably do.

Forssell signed for Chelsea from HJK Helsinki in Finland back in 1998 and spent seven years at the club.

During that time he spent impressive spells out on loan at Crystal Palace, Borussia Monchengladbach and Birmingham City - showcasing his natural goalscoring ability.

But despite his talent injuries always hindered his progression and after spells with Birmingham, Hannover and a highly unsuccessful time at Leeds United he moved back to HJK in 2012.

And he was joined in the Finnish capital by Teemu Tainio in 2013.

He signed for Tottenham Hotspur in 2005 on a Bosman deal from French outfit AJ Auxerre. He was a solid, but not sensational player for the club, and went on to play for Sunderland, Birmingham, Ajax and New York Red Bulls before heading home.

Today saw HJK win in the Veikkausliiga 1-0 at home to FF Jaro - with the goal being scored by Tainio in the 41st minute.

But Forssell seems to believe he got to the ball before it crossed the line - and has humourously suggested that he is bribing his team-mate for the bragging rights.

Good bants Mika!
