What a match this is set to be. Everton will know that a victory could transform not just their season, but the ones yet to come; because if Roberto Martinez’s side win both this match and their game-in-hand over the Gunners, the Toffees could make an unexpected but thoroughly deserved surge into the Champions League.
Arsenal simply cannot lose today’s match, and it will be interesting to see how they perform knowing that fact.
That said, Everton have not won any of their last 14 matches against today’s opponents – although the last three have been draws. The Toffees last victory over Arsenal came in 2007 – a 1-0 victory they will be hoping to repeat today.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
