Arsenal have signed Ashley Young's son Tyler on junior terms. The news was shared by the boy's mother Nicky Pike, who tweeted a picture of Tyler signing his deal.
The news comes just weeks after it was revealed that Manchester United player Robin van Persie and first-team coach Phil Neville send their sons to train at Manchester City.
It is claimed that Young senior is an Arsenal fan, and if true, he may get to see his son follow a path that was not possible for him.
Young is enjoying something of a renaissance at United under David Moyes. But with a number of new arrivals likely this summer, it remains to be seen if he will keep his regular starting-berth in the long-term.
But for now he will no doubt be celebrating a good result for his club and a very happy and momentous day for his family.
