Taarabt: No Milan stay agreed yet

AC Milan loanee Adel Taarabt has explained that no agreement is yet in place with Queens Park Rangers to bring him to San Siro permanently.

Adel Taarabt's stock at AC Milan is rising and the Rossoneri are believed to be in discussions with Queens Park Rangers over bringing the loanee to San Siro on a permanent basis.

A few eyebrows were raised when Milan unexpectedly swooped to sign Taarabt on loan in the January transfer window.

But the Moroccan midfielder has won praise for his recent efforts in Italy and was widely seen as Man of the Match in Milan's 3-0 win over Chievo.

Milan appear to be attempting to negotiate Taarabt staying permanently with QPR, who reportedly want around £5m.

While Taarabt has admitted that he would be delighted to extend his stay in Lombardy, he insists that nothing is finalised.

"There is no agreement yet but I want to keep the signatures until August so I can have a holiday," he joked to Tuttosport.

"I'm getting on well with the coach and I believe that the worst is over for this team. We have to prove ourselves.

"I've got my head in the right place unlike sometimes in the past."
