Leaked WhatsApp suggests Liverpool have missed out on left-back solution

Reports in Spain suggest that Guilherme Siqueira has already agreed a move to Real Madrid this summer.

This morning has seen Arsenal linked with SL Benfica left-back Guilherme Siqueira - a player who has been heavily linked with several Premier League clubs in the past.

On loan at Benfica from La Liga outfit Granada he is considered one of the most under-rated left-backs in Europe.

Last summer he was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool - while Everton, Manchester United and Chelsea were all also said to be keen at one point in time.

Arsenal’s interest however comes at an interesting moment - as just yesterday it was heavily reported that Siqueira’s next move was already plotted.

It has been reported in several papers that Carlo Ancelotti is a massive fan of the Brazilian and would like to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

In fact he would have liked to do so last summer - but their inability to sell Fabio Coentrao put an end to their interest.

Now however Siqueira is said to privately be believed as theirs after an apparent leaked WhatsApp message.

It is said that Siqueira ‘WhatsApped’ friends “I’m going to Real Madrid” which has sparked these rumours.

Benfica have first option on the player for a fee of €8 million and Madrid may also have to buy that before they snap up the player - so no fee or official confirmation from any of the parties has been forthcoming, remember this is merely a rumour.

But the fact is Real are hot on the player - who would make the perfect left-back solution for the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea or even United this summer.

The swashbuckling and positive star however seems to be on his way back to Spain to play in the capital.

The good news - Fabio Coentrao would now look very much available.
