Fulham starting XI: Stockdale; Riether, Hangeland, Heitinga, Amorebieta; Diarra, Sidwell; Kasami, Holtby, Richardson; Woodrow.

Fulham are in dire need of points to aid their survival battle, and travel to Aston Villa today in search of a rare away win.

The Cottagers lost last weekend to Everton, leaving Felix Magath's side rooted to the foot of the Premier League table and five points adrift of safety.

But with the lowest number of clean sheets in the entire division and just one win in their last 12 matches, Fulham need to start picking up points sooner rather than later, and the challenge of a Christian Benteke-less Aston Villa could be the catalyst for another great escape.

Belgian international Benteke has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an achilles tendon injury, leaving Paul Lambert short up top. With nine home losses in the Premier League this season - second only to opponents Fulham - today could be a tougher task than advertised.

The Villains sit eight points clear of danger, but could do with two more wins to reach the 'magic' 40 point mark, but the absence of Benteke could made today's game close.
