Arsene Wenger gave updates on player fitness in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Everton game this weekend.
The return of Rambo is extremely significant for the Gunners who have missed the Welshman ever since he picked up a problem during the game away at West Ham last winter.
“Ramsey and Monreal will be back in the squad on Sunday. He drives the team forward and he is a box to box player. It's good to have him back,” said the Frenchman.
Wenger revealed that Ramsey has been training for some time but what he lacks, which has kept him out of the first team, is competition and match fitness.
“Ramsey has worked very hard in training... what he lacks is competition - Having someone like Ramsey back, who can help the team be successful is of course very important.”
It’s not all plain sailing and roses in the garden for Arsenal as the boss also confirmed there are doubts hanging over the fitness of Kieran Gibbs and Serge Gnabry who would have been important parts of the squad.
“We have a doubt about Gibbs with an ankle problem and Gnabry has a knee problem.”
The gaffer has reassured the club's fans that the side will be going all out to finish as high as possible in the Premier League title after a couple of poor results have seen them slide away from first place but a solid display against Manchester city has created hope.
"The target is to finish as high as possible. It's impossible to predict where we will finish. We know that every game becomes vital. We came out with a strong performance against City and I think we have turned a corner."
"We have a small percentage to win the title but we have to give everything to make it possible."
