The Elder Scrolls Online officially available

The Elder Scrolls Online Screen 20

It’s the end of beta tests and early-access days, Tamriel finally opens up to the rest of the world.

We’ve been closely following the run-up to the game’s launch at Here Is The City, and even got to participate in the beta. The Elder Scrolls Online, or ESO for you abbreviation nerds out there, is set in The Elder Scrolls universe we’ve all come to know and love from the single-player games. Of course, with the title, you can see that this time around you jump online, and join thousands of other players to quest through the world of Tamriel.

Players who pre-purchased the Imperial Edition, or pre-purchased from the game’s online store, had 5-days of early access. For pre-purchases elsewhere there was 3-day early-access, so if you’re looking to buy the game now there is an already healthy number of players populating the world.

I’ve been playing ESO a little bit this week, and so far I’ve not had any connection or lag issues. There was one instance a couple days ago when the servers were down for maintenance, but I don’t see that as a major issue. Fingers crossed it carries on this way and everyone gets to enjoy the game.

Because the trailer is 8 minutes of pure epic action, I’ve neatly placed it below for you to watch, and drool over.

You can head on over to the ESO store here if you’d like to buy the game and jump right in. You can also take a look at my beta impressions, if you’d like a little more hands-on information about ESO.

The game will also be available on PS4 an Xbox One in June this year.

So, are you playing ESO? What characters have you made? Let us know in the comments below.
