Inter have been frequently linked to young Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata over the last few weeks but it is being reported that Arsenal are more likely to sign him.
The 21-year-old has looked impressive for Real this season and netted a superb goal against Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
But Morata has spoken of his frustration at a lack of playing time for the Merengues and is expected to try and find another club in the summer.
Inter are in dire need of striking reinforcements and Morata, along with compatriot Francesco Torres, is said to be on the Nerazzurri shopping list.
Arsenal were tracking Morata last summer and have long been admirers of his and the Spanish site reports that the striker is happy to accept a switch to the Emirates Stadium.
Inter and Bayer Leverkusen are said to be trying to change the situation before June but are currently behind in the race.
The report suggests that Arsenal want Morata on a permanent basis but Real are keener to send him out on loan with the option to make it permanent later on.
