Relegation rivals in battle of the facts on Twitter heading into tomorrow’s game in Cardiff.
Cardiff City and Crystal Palace have been battling it out on Twitter throughout Friday, with both clubs stating unfavourable facts about each other’s form.
Cardiff’s official account tweeted this afternoon that Crystal Palace had not won in any of their last nine visits to the Welsh capital, where the Eagles have drawn four and lost five. The Bluebirds then also stated that Palace had won just two of their last 28 Premier League games away from home, losing 19.
The Crystal Palace official Twitter feed then responded with a dig at Cardiff’s form this season. It read ‘@CardiffCityFC have won just twice at home since Christmas. Something has to give.’ Cardiff then responded with ‘BITE: See you tomorrow’ before Palace tweeted ‘FACT: Yes we will.’

The social media banter comes in the lead up to the crunch relegation fixture between the sides in Cardiff on Saturday.
Cardiff are fighting for their lives and defeat to Palace tomorrow will all but seal their relegation status. The Eagles though have every reason to be optimistic following their 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Selhurst Park last weekend. Tony Pulis’s men sit five points above the Bluebirds with a game in hand on their Welsh rivals.
Cardiff simply have to win on Saturday, and can take plenty of positives going in to the game after twice coming from behind against West Bromwich Albion last week to draw 3-3. The Bluebirds must start picking up wins with just six games remaining of their season, particularly with the likes of Norwich and West Brom facing tough season run-ins.
Defeat is not an option for Cardiff, and they will be banking on the poor Crystal Palace record in their parts again tomorrow to ensure that they take the relegation fight to the wire.
