Report: Juventus reject Cavani for Pogba

Paul Pogba

Turin newspaper Tuttosport is claiming that Juventus have reacted negatively to an offer from Paris Saint-Germain to trade Paul Pogba for Edinson Cavani.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has become hot property and there have been repeated links with French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Since leaving Manchester United as a free agent, Pogba has gone from strength to strength in a Juventus shirt and become a leading light in Serie A.

The Bianconeri are attempting to tie Pogba to the club for the long term and have insisted that they have no intention of letting him leave, but they may face an offer they can't refuse in the summer.

However, Tuttosport is reporting that PSG's first advance - a part-exchange deal with Edinson Cavani - has been rebuffed by the Old Lady.

Uruguayan striker Cavani shot to fame in Serie A for Napoli between 2010 and 2013 before signing for PSG in a big-money move last summer.

However, Cavani is unsettled in Paris and has publicly stated that unless the club change the way they play he will leave.

While Juventus are said to be keen on Cavani, they are reportedly unwilling to consider Pogba leaving unless a vast cash sum is presented to them. Tuttosport suggests that somewhere around £60m will be needed.
