'Working hard on the pitch for a strong finish and still enjoying every second.'
That was the message Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski posted on his official Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon, suggesting that those reports of a summer exit could be just more rumour-mongering.
The German international has already had to dismiss stories that he wanted to leave the Gunners last summer, and now fresh reports have claimed Arsenal would be willing to let him go if they can recoup the £11million they paid back in 2012.
But his latest message suggests he is happy exactly where he is, despite the rumours to the contrary.
Of course Arsene Wenger could still opt to offload the front-man this summer, given that a new striker is almost certain to arrive. But the biggest clubs need strength in depth and Podolski is returning to form after a long injury lay-off robbed him of the first half of the season.
A goal and an assist in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City was followed by another assist in the match against Manchester City. And given a consistent run in the team there is no reason Podolski could not be among the goals regularly for the North London club.
In short, he is a weapon it would be foolish to discard. And if he still enjoying his time at Arsenal as much as his latest message suggests, Wenger would be wise to keep him...and play him.
