Was the Bayern Munich midfielder disappointed to be hauled off by Pep Guardiola?

Manchester United fans feared they would be humiliated against Bayern Munich, so much so that it would kill their chances of signing Toni Kroos in the summer.

Instead the Old Trafford crowd and the United team put in a display to be proud of as they held the Champions League holders to a draw in their quarter-final clash.

It was Toni Kroos who ended up looking dissatisfied, substituted on 74 minutes by manager Pep Guardiola, and the photo above illustrates his frustrated body language and reaction at being taken off.

And well might he have been upset. Kroos had completed 96% of his passes, and touched the ball 107 times - at that point more than any other players on the pitch.

Will any upset between himself and his manager help United out? In the long run maybe, but Kroos is almost certain to start the next leg, with Thiago, Schweinsteiger and Martinez all ruled out.

He may just be able to do some more damage against the Red Devils before he makes his big decision on his future.
