People News - Goldman Sachs, Prudential Financial

Goldman Sachs, which earned a third of its profit from trading last year, has moved Guy Saidenberg from head of global foreign-exchange trading to allow JPMorgan’s Kayhan Mirza to assume the job.

Bloomberg Newa reports that Saidenberg, who was named to the currencies post last year, becomes global co-head of commodities trading with Greg Agran in June, Goldman Sachs said in a March 28 internal memo. That’s when Mirza joins as a partner and chief of the unit that Saidenberg ran, the bank said in a separate memo.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Prudential Financial hired Filippo Arcieri from Hartford Financial Services to help oversee $185bn in bonds

Arcieri is a senior portfolio manager for investment-grade corporate securities at Prudential Fixed Income, the company said today in a statement. He was co-head of investment-grade credit at Hartford, where he oversaw more than $25bn of insurer and client funds.

'Filippo brings extensive experience in sector and industry allocation, and security selection, along with a global expertise, which helps to round out our team', Steven Kellner, head of Prudential Fixed Income’s corporate debt portfolios, said in the statement.
