Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Sherwood not the only one facing the sack this summer, who else?

Tim Sherwood Press Conference 12/02/2014

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mail claims that Daniel Levy’s number one choice to replace Tim Sherwood this summer is Carlo Ancelotti.

The former Chelsea man is currently doing a fantastic job with Real Madrid in La Liga.

Sherwood has had to contend with regular speculation linking high profile coaches with his job, following inconsistent performances since he took over.

However, another individual who could be in the firing line is technical director Franco Baldini.

The Mirror claims that the Italian could face the axe with Spurs keen to focus on home based players.

Spurs have been linked with several top, English based Premier League stars such as Romelu Lukaku, Luke Shaw and Christian Benteke.

Sherwood won’t be grateful for the pressure which has been applied by current midfield star Paulinho.

The £17m star has made it clear he’s not comfortable with his position and current role at the club.

“I always want to play. I understand the team rotation because that's how it works here, but I am not feeling well or comfortable. I want to be present, I want to play,” the Brazilian is quoted by ESPN.
