A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.
Arsenal will reportedly be forced to wait another season in their attempts to sign Julian Draxler from FC Schalke.
The German has been strongly linked with a move to North London, with the Gunners even trying to pull off a deal last winter.
“I definitely believe that he will be staying at our club for the new season,” said Schalke general manager Horst Heldt.
Josip Drmic has appeared to deny claims that he’s agreed to join Arsenal in the summer.
The Nuremberg striker was reported to have already signed a deal to move to the Emirates this summer, filling a problematic attacking position for Wenger.
Speculation grew when reports suggest Drmic’s wife had been looking for house in London, but he’s since revealed that he’s not even in a relationship.
Gunners chief Stan Kroenke reportedly remains convinced that Arsene Wenger is the right man to lead the club forwards.
There has been pressure on the Gunners to move on the Frenchman at the end of the season but John Cross in the Daily Mirror reports that Wenger will be backed.
The Frenchman is expected to bring in two world class signings for the club this summer, in the same bracket as the deal which saw Mesut Ozil arrive at the club.
