Manchester City latest: Midfielder ‘very happy’ with choice; Etihad expansion to begin

Samir Nasri has revealed that he is very happy to have chosen a move to Manchester City over a prolonged stay at Arsenal.

In an interview with Canal Football and later published by the Express, the French midfielder said, “I preferred to join City and I won titles and indeed I earn a better living. And why not a second national title in three years?

“I am very happy with my choice.”

In the same interview, Nasri revealed that he had opened talks over an extension to a deal that currently runs until the end of next season.

The player is enjoying a fine season, and has scored eight goals and provided nine assists to date

In other news, the Manchester Evening News reports that City are soon to begin work that will expand the Etihad Stadium.

The plan is to increase both ends of the stadium to allow an additional 12,500 seats.

And finally, the Mirror reports that Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini will not be charged for allegedly spitting at City’s Pablo Zabaleta during the recent derby match at Old Trafford.

A statement from the FA said there was no case to answer.
