Fallout from Tottenham Hotspur's defeat continues.
Tottenham's shambolic performance at Liverpool saw them consigned to another predictable defeat, losing 4-0.
Under pressure boss Tim Sherwood was the focus of the post-match reaction, with various rumours on Twitter claiming he had even resigned in wake of the defeat.
This was quickly proven not to be true, but with Spurs reportedly in the dressing room for a long time after the game, more wild claims even suggested the boss had lashed out at a player.
Winger Aaron Lennon has however come out to address the claims, dismissing them out of hand.
Today was not good enough and we let everyone down, but the rumours about the boss hitting someone are bollocks, crazy how powerful twitter is— Aaron Lennon (@Aaron7Lennon) March 30, 2014
The reports always seemed far fetched, and Sherwood stated post-game that he had the intention of instilling confidence in his players for the remaining games.
Rumours surrounding his future will clearly continue, but the punching claims are ones which fans should no longer invest in, if they even did in the first place.
