Tottenham Player Ratings vs Liverpool: Shamolic display sees nobody impress

How did Tottenham's players fare in their 4-0 loss to Liverpool today? Here are the ratings for Tim Sherwood's side...

Hugo Lloris 6 – was left all at sea by his defence and made a stunning save to keep a Luis Suarez header at bay. In a terrible defensive display, Lloris was the least of Spurs' problems.

Kyle Naughton 5 – struggled to deal with Suarez, who regularly took up a position inside of the left flank, and right back Naughton just couldn't stop him.

Younes Kaboul 3 – Just when you thought Spurs' defending couldn't get worse...Kaboul had an absolute nightmare, scoring an early own goal before being outmuscled for the second goal. A shocking display.

Jan Vertonghen 4 – was substituted early on for Michael Dawson after picking up an injury but failed to deal with Glen Johnson's cross for the first goal.

Danny Rose 5 - Rose was left somewhat exposed down the right and couldn't deal with the attacking prowess of Johnson and Raheem Sterling down the left hand side.

Nabil Bentaleb 5 - the youngster keeps his place in the side but it's not clear why. He offers occasional bursts of energy but was often guilty of poor decision making in possession.

Gylfi Sigurdsson 5 - Not a holding midfielder. Couldn't offer protection to the back four when Coutinho was roaming, but kept things tidy in possession.

Aaron Lennon 4 - Completely ineffectual. Didn't get involved enough and when he did, he didn't at all trouble John Flanagan down the right hand side.

Christian Eriksen 6 - Looked like one of the few players who could make something happen for Spurs but was played criminally out of position - he was used as a winger rather than a No. 10, whilst winger Nacer Chadli was used as a No. 10. Bizarre from Tim Sherwood.

Nacer Chadli 6 - Offered the occasional flash of quality in a dire display from Spurs, and with Eriksen, looked the most likely to make a telling contribution for Spurs.

Roberto Soldado 5 - Another goalless game for Soldado, having just one shot on goal in the game, but he offered movement and hold-up ability in the Spurs attack before being stretchered off in added time.

Michael Dawson 4 - Produced a catastrophic error for Luis Suarez's goal after coming on for Jan Vertonghen, and failed to recover from that mistake.

Mousa Dembele 5 - by the time the Belgian came on, the game was all over and there was little he could do to affect the game.

Andros Townsend 5 - few touches of the ball after coming on for Aaron Lennon and much like Dembele, just had no time or momentum to make an impact.
