Manchester United have had a tough transitional season under David Moyes, with the Old Trafford outfit struggling domestically.
As such a glut of summer spending to remedy this season’s malaise is expected, with a host of new players seemingly set to head to Manchester.
The Sunday Telegraph have today stated that Moyes will be handed a £200 million warchest to overhaul the squad at the end of the season.
Although replacements for ageing centre-halves Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand will be high up the wishlist, the report states that stars at left-back and the centre of midfield will be the priority.
It is believed that Southampton’s Luke Shaw and Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos are the leading targets for the historic club.
Shaw, who has recently become an England international, is starring at Southampton and United can expect competition from Chelsea for his signing.
Kroos’ contract at the Allianz Arena is up in the summer of 2015 and repeated question marks over his future persist.
