After watching Chelsea and Manchester City drop points on Saturday, Liverpool knew a win would take them to the top of the Premier League table, and Brendan Rodgers' side showed no signs of pressure as the coasted to a comfortable win over a diabolical Spurs at Anfield. The tone was set by Younes Kaboul's comical early own goal, before Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson wrapped up an easy victory.
There is now a real belief on Merseyside that Liverpool can win their first Premier League title, with Rodgers' men hitting top form at just the right time - but they face a tough April, with home games against Manchester City and then Chelsea, in two games that will shape the destination of the title.
The Liverpool attack was once again devastating today, but it was Brazilian playmaker Coutinho who caught the eye with a superb display of passing and creativity, before adding his first goal at Anfield this season - and Liverpool fans were full of praise for the former Inter man on Twitter.
