Mathieu Valbuena’s future at Marseille seems up in the air, with the France international heavily linked with a move away from the Stade Velodrome this summer.
However, it appears that Brendan Rodgers’ men will face competition for Valbuena’s signing, with two other Premier League sides thought to be monitoring his situation.
Tutto Mercato claim that both Tottenham and Newcastle have made offers for the 29-year-old, who has also spoken of his admiration for Atletico Madrid in recent times.
Valbuena has been with OM since 2006, playing over 200 Ligue 1 games for the club. During this time he has amassed 30 France national team caps, scoring five times in the process.
