Wenger on 'more title race twists' but they WON'T involve Arsenal

Arsene tells media to expect more twists in Premier League title race but let's face it, they'll involve Chelsea, Liverpool & Manchester City, not Arsenal.

With an arduous tactical examination looming against Manchester City later today, Saturday, Arsenal have one last hurrah at sneaking back into the race for the Premier League crown.

A surprise victory, particularly given the ease in which City battered them 6-3 in December while also coming unstuck versus Liverpool and Chelsea, will place the Gunners on equal points with their visitors yet Manuel Pellegrini's side are still to complete their two games in hand.

While Chelsea have an, on-paper at least, seemingly straight-forward run out at Crystal Palace, a triumph over Tottenham Hotspur for Liverpool is no foregone conclusion.

Should Arsenal register maximum points against City, their only other true test comes against Everton away before a run of fixtures they have shown throughout the season that they should deal with.

However, victory tomorrow is a big ask… but Wenger insists that his side are still mentioned in the Premier League title challenge conversation.

"t's all to go for I think, for everybody," the Frenchman explained on the club's official website recently.

"Everybody speaks about Everton coming back on us [for a fourth place battle but] why should we then not come back on the teams who are in front of us? There's still a lot of turning games that will happen until the end of the season."

Yes, Wenger is correct. There will indeed be more title race twists and turns but if we are all realistic, they will not involve Arsenal, a team who have demonstrated that, while they may have the capability of claiming top honours in the near future, this year is simply not theirs.
