21-year-old Pablo Sarabia has welcomed proposed interest from Manchester United.

Spanish under-21 international Pablo Sarabia has admitted he would be honoured at interest from Manchester United.

The Manchester Evening News reported in January that the Red Devils had Phil Neville to watch the Getafe midfielder in action.

A former Real Madrid youth player, Sarabia has impressed this season in La Liga, and has been quizzed about United's interest by the Spanish media.

He told "With my agent I've never talked about this because I think this could distract me. I want to stay focused on the season, save the team (from relegation).

"Clearly, if the interest was real, I'd be very proud. "

Sarabia is a player who United could hope to pick up on the cheap, valued by transfermarkt at just £2.6 million.

He is an attacking midfielder, capable of playing on either the left or right wing, but is most comfortable through the centre.

Unfotunately for him, he is a type of player who United are not in short supply of, with Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Shinji Kagawa, and even Nick Powell keen to play similar roles, which makes talk of United's interest at present, just that.

He has 18 caps for Spain's under-21 side, and has two goals and seven assists for Getafe this season
