Wilshere England

All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates this morning.

Arsenal may be ready to welcome Jack Wilshere back before the end of the season from his broken foot.

Wilshere suffered a fractured navicular bone in an international friendly for England v Denmark and was initially ruled out for six weeks - although many suggested he might be out for the test of the season.

Arsenal are being cautious with his injury considering his track record for relapsing.

However reports suggest he is back in the gym doing cardiovascular work and he might return for the game against Newcastle United on April 28th.

The news will also be greeted happily by England manager Roy Hodgson.

Arsenal may take on a Manchester City side at the weekend without their star of the recent Manchester Derby in tow.

David Silva tore United to shreds on Tuesday night and Arsenal would have been preparing themselves to take on the Spanish international.

However the playmaker picked up an injury against United and faces a fitness test in training today before being passed fit for the game this weekend.

Sergio Aguero, who has been stepping up his recovery from a recent injury, will also miss the tie - as it comes to soon for him.

Reports in Asia suggest Arsenal are continuing to keep tabs on South Korean forward Heung-Min Son.

The Bayer Leverkusen man was a target when at Hamburg last season and that interest reportedly remains.
