Arsenal are looking down the brink of another disappointing season that once promised so much. The Gunners have now been ruled out of the title race by their own boss Arsene Wenger while the Champions League and League Cup are now out of the equation.
One bright spot is their continued presence in the FA Cup - the last piece of silverware they won way back in 2005.
Of course they would love to have the opportunity to win the competition once again - and would surely like to have some of the stars who won them that title available today.
But at least they will get the chance to pit their wits against an Arsenal legend this summer.
MLS outfit New York Red Bulls have announced they will take on The Gunners in a pre-season friendly this summer.
The game, to be played on July 26th, will see Red Bulls club captain and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry going up against his former club.
Henry, who moved to New York from Barcelona in 2010, will captain the side when they take each other on at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.
“It goes without saying that hosting Arsenal at Red Bull Arena will be a special moment for me both on a professional and personal level. As I have said before, the club is in my heart and this will be another terrific chapter in my relationship with Arsenal Football Club. Along with my team-mates, I am excited to host Arsenal in New York - one of the greatest cities in the world - and hope that Red Bulls and Arsenal fans will be able to enjoy the match."
At least it gives Gunners fans something to look forward to.
