I hope Wenger makes the decision himself, and that the players win him the FA Cup so he can leave on a high note. He deserves that. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 25, 2014
Piers Morgan has said he hopes Arsene Wenger makes the decision not to sign a new deal and move himself on at the end of the season.
Arsenal could only manage a point at home against Swansea last night in response to the 6-0 thrashing the side were handed at Chelsea last weekend.
The TV broadcaster and journalist has been persistent in recent weeks with his claims that Arsenal need to move on from the Wenger era and in a new direction.
However, Morgan also said that he hopes the side win the FA Cup for Wenger as he at least deserves a little bit of success and to go out on the back of a trophy, ending the silverware drought since 2005.
Arsenal’s focus will now switch to the home game against Manchester City this weekend.
Wenger's got to go. And those Arsenal fans still blindly supporting him have just got to wake up and realise he's not the Wenger of '97-'04.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 25, 2014
