The way Manchester City started their match against Manchester United it looked like being an absolute mauling.
But despite Edin Dzeko giving the visitors the lead after just 43 seconds, David Moyes' side managed to weather the storm for the rest of the first half, playing their way into the match and enjoying a good spell directly before half-time.
But the second half saw City reassert their authority and United were rarely given a sniff.
Dzeko ended up with a brace that was followed by yet another goal for Yaya Toure. But it was clear from the image above that the Bosnian striker and teammate Samir Nasri knew just how important it was to score in this particular derby.
The win means City are still in control of their own destiny in terms of the title race. But for United, their whole season hinges on the daunting prospect of a Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich.
