Manchester United boss takes another battering, this time from an unlikely source.
Manchester United's season took another sharp turn for the worse last night, with a 3-0 home defeat to rivals Manchester City.
It's the second galling home defeat new manager David Moyes has overseen this month, with Liverpool beating United at Old Trafford also 3-0 two weekends ago.
Now the daughter of a manager who took a point at Old Trafford earlier this year has taken a shot at the United boss.
Rene Meulensteen was a first-team coach at United this time last season, and credited as a major reason behind the signing of Robin van Persie, who publicly praised his innovative training sessions.
He left last summer as David Moyes brought in his own staff, and undertook brief managerial spells a both Anzhi Makhachkala and Fulham.
As United floundered to their latest home defeat last night, Meulensteen's daughter posted the following on Twitter:
It's funny how a club can change so much within a season.. Moyes doesn't have a clue #clown— Pien Meulensteen (@PienMeulensteen) March 25, 2014
Last night's defeat was a humiliating one for United, and illustrated that just when they thought they had turned a corner, they stumbled again.
United were outplayed and outcoached by City, who beat their rivals for the second time this season, at an aggregate of 7-1 over two matches.
Sir Bobby Charlton said ahead of last night's game that he was convinced David Moyes was the right man at the helm of the club. Clearly not everybody is in agreement.
