Antoine Griezmann has denied agreeing to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
News broke in the late afternoon yesterday that the Frenchman had apparently agreed to join PSG verbally, but the player himself took to Twitter to deny the reports.
French outlet L’Equipe reported that PSG were ready to pay the €30 million desired by Real Sociedad for the 23-year-old as well as significantly increasing his current wage deal.
The first Tweet Griezmann posted on Twitter translated reads “To clarify, despite rumours about a signature at PSG – no contacts or decisions in this direction have been considered.”
His second Tweet translated reads “After seeing the news of my possible match with PSG – I wanted to deny any kind of agreement or conversation with the club.”
Arsenal could still move for the player this summer after seeing a £12 million offer knocked back last winter while Manchester United could struggle to sign him if they finish with no form of European football for next season.
