VIDEO: Toni Kroos scores as Bayern win title, Manchester United next!

Bayern Badge

Toni Kroos warmed up for the upcoming contests against suitors Manchester United by firing Bayern towards the Bundesliga title.

It may only be mid-March, but Bayern Munich have already wrapped up this season's Bundesliga title.

While the destination of the trophy has been in little doubt for months, Bayern made it official last night with a 3-1 win away to Hertha Berlin, with their lead at the top of the table mathematically unassailable.

In demand midfielder Toni Kroos set Bayern on their way, scoring a composed half volley after the ball broke to him on the edge of the box as early as the sixth minute.

Mario Gotze and Frank Ribery scored further goals as Bayern ran out convincing winners, the score never in doubt.

Kroos is a summer transfer target for Manchester United, and they will be at the forefront of his mind in coming weeks, but not for the reasons they may wish.

Bayern are United's opponents in the Champions League quarter-finals, and judging by the Red Devils' performances against City and Liverpool at Old Trafford, only the most extreme optimist would foresee United progressing.

If they are to stand a chance of signing Kroos, putting up a fight and not being humiliated will be key for David Moyes' side.
