Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has been highlighted as a special talent all season long, and showed just why against Newcastle tonight.
In case anybody was still unconvinced over the argument that he is a must-pick for England's World Cup squad this summer, Barkley's goal against Newcastle illustrated a level of dynamism Tom Cleverley could only dream of.
Picking the ball up on the St James' Park halfway line, Barkley surged at the back-peddling Newcastle defence before cutting inside and slamming the ball into the roof of the net.
The goal was the opener and just the nod Everton needed in their push for fourth place in the Premier League.
It was Barkley's first goal in his last 10 games in all competitions and fourth in the league this season.
