A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur could pull off one of the transfers of the summer should they sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

The Telegraph has reported that Spurs are interested in the Belgian attacker as Tim Sherwood looks to bolster his attacking options for next season.

Everton are also thought to be interested but will reportedly struggle to pay his £17-20 million fee.

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson says he’s convinced Tottenham will sack Tim Sherwood at the end of the season.

Sherwood was handed an 18 month contract to take over from former boss Andre Villas-Boas but doesn’t believe he’ll keep his job.

“[It was] a good win over Southampton [on Sunday] for Tim Sherwood but I'm convinced he will be gone in the summer,” he told the Mirror.

Sherwood has revealed he thinks Christian Eriksen is one of the better signings that the club has made in recent times.

The Dane produced a solid brace last weekend to help Tottenham back into that game against Southampton after they went 2-0 down.

“He's a good player isn't he, he's up there with one of the best acquisitions we've made. He's got so much in his locker, he not only assists, he scores, he affects a football match,” Sherwood told the press.
