Piers Morgan has questioned Arsene Wenger’s loyal supporters picking on David Moyes and Manchester United to make a point.
The TV broadcaster and journalist is an avid Arsenal fan and hasn’t held back in his belief that Wenger should be given the boot following the drubbing the side were handed by Chelsea last weekend.
Morgan used David Moyes’ United as one excuse where Wenger has underperformed this season with the Gunners unable to get the better of United over two league games this campaign; losing 1-0 at Old Trafford and drawing 0-0 at the Emirates.
Arsenal take on Swansea City this evening looking for three important points as they try and get their Premier League title challenge back on track, which is currently hanging by a thread.
Morgan has also laid into the recent record of Arsene Wenger against the club’s main rivals, further touching on the recent lack of success Arsenal have enjoyed, which seems to be something he tweets about in every Arsenal game at the moment.
Take a look at his latest Twitter outburst.
We couldn't even beat David Moyes' Manchester United team this season. THAT'S how far back we've fallen. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 24, 2014
No trophies for 9yrs & 1 win in last 15 games v main rivals = 'improvement'? Jeez, I'd hate to see what deterioration looks like. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 24, 2014
We concede 17 goals in THREE games to our main League rivals, and people think Arsenal have IMPROVED? Pur-lease.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 24, 2014
