PICTURE: RvP sends City a reminder they'd rather forget

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has posted a message on Instagram as his teammates prepare to face Manchester City.

Robin van Persie may be unavailable for the Manchester derby this evening, but that has not stopped the striker posting a cheeky message about the upcoming proceedings...or more specifically a reminder about a previous match.

The Manchester United striker netted an injury-time winner in a 3-2 victory back in December 2012, sending his side six points clear at the top of the Premier League as a result.

Manchester City would have their revenge later that season, winning at Old Trafford, but it would be United who ultimately got their hands on the title.

That will not be happening again this year, with David Moyes' side out of the running, but they can still play a huge role in where the trophy ends up.

Posting on Instagram, the injured Dutchman wrote, "Come on lads!" alongside a picture of him celebrating below a scoreboard that read City 2-3 United.

What chance a repeat of that scoreline this evening?
