Manchester City Player Ratings vs Manchester United - Silva, Toure and Dzeko star

Man City Inc Dzeko

How did Manchester City's players fare in their 3-0 win over Manchester United tonight? Here are the ratings for Manuel Pellegrini's side...

Joe Hart 8 - commanded his area well and was decisive when coming for crosses. It appears his spell out of the first team has done the England stopper a world of good.

Pablo Zabaleta 7 - showed energy throughout despite being on the receiving end of a shocking elbow from Marouane Fellaini, and linked up well with Jesus Navas down the right hand side.

Martin Demichelis 8 - looked troubled by Danny Welbeck's pace at times, but was generally solid throughout, winning everything in the air when called upon.

Vincent Kompany 8 - just as dominant in the air as Demichelis was, Kompany was a rock in the City defence yet again, as United were limited to half chances and snapshots.

Gael Clichy 8 - another impressive display from a City defender, Clichy made crucial interceptions and also used his pace to get forward to support the attack in a fine display.

Fernandinho 8 - the Brazilian produced a sublime first time pass for City's opener, and worked hard throughout in the City engine room alongside Yaya Toure.

Yaya Toure 9 - the driving force in the City midfield yet again, Ivorian Toure added another goal, bringing up number 17 for the season - a staggering return from a central midfielder.

Jesus Navas 7 - didn't get into the game as much as he would've liked, and when he did get the chance to deliver into the box, the quality was often lacking.

David Silva 9 - a sublime display yet again from City's diminutive Spaniard. His link up play between the midfield and attack was a delight throughout, and was influential in all of City's attacks.

Samir Nasri 8 - unlucky not to score in the first minute when his shot cannoned back off the post, but Nasri continued to threaten down the City left, always looking to get on the ball and influence play.

Edin Dzeko 9 - his first goal was a simple tap in, but his second was an exquisite finish from a difficult position. The United defence simply had no answer for the Bosnian tonight.

Subs

Javi Garcia 6 - touched the ball just seven times after coming on for Jesus Navas with 20 minutes to play, but he solidified the City midfield.

James Milner 6 - brought into the fold late on to make use of his workmanlike attitude, Milner was like Garcia in that he may not have had much impact on the ball, but was important off it.

Alvaro Negredo 6 - the third City sub had only seven touches as well, but by the time he came on, the game was already over.
