It is fair to say this campaign has not gone as Wilfried Zaha would have expected.
After an impressive pre-season with Manchester United, the winger found himself with minimal chances to make a first-team impact once the competitive action kicked off, and he has since moved to Cardiff City on loan.
But after an impressive debut for the Bluebirds, Zaha has failed to make much of an impact and is more regularly found on the bench then tearing down the wing.
The former Crystal Palace man played the last 26 minutes of Saturday's 6-3 loss to Liverpool, and while Cardiff remain in the relegation scrap, Zaha has taken to Instagram to send an upbeat message to his current teammates.
"Not about how many times you fail. It's about how many times you can pick yourself up and go again. Heads up and go again next week CCFC," he wrote.
There is no doubt Zaha has the talent to be a success at the highest level of the English game, but it will be interesting to see just what the rest of the season has in store for him, and which colour shirt he will be pulling on for the start of the next campaign.
