A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

The Metro has claimed that Arsenal have opened talks to sign Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich.

The daily newspaper claims the 27-year-old’s agent is already in the capital to start negotiations over a summer move.

Mandzukic is thought to be open to a move away from Bayern following the announcement that Robert Lewandowski will move to the Allianz at the end of the season.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is reportedly in line to be dropped against Swansea City this week.

Szczesny didn’t have a great game as the Gunners were thumped over the weekend at the hands of Chelsea.

The Daily Star has claimed Arsene Wenger will hand a start to Lukasz Fabianski in light of the 6-0 weekend thrashing.

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner was pictured in Denmark over the weekend, watching FC Copenhagen play Randers.

Bendtner is set to leave the club at the end of the season and was pictured with Frank Arnesen and Anders Horsholt during the game.

Bendtner recently got into trouble for abusing a taxi driver in the Danish city on the same evening Arsenal were taking on Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
