Seven-year ex-Man United star to retire at end of season – report

Park Ji Sung

Sport 1 have suggested that Park Ji-Sung will hang up his boots this summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson brought a multitude of top-notch players to Manchester United during his tenure at Old Trafford, but one of the most under-rated was Park Ji-Sung.

The South Korea international played for the Red Devils between 2005 and 2012, playing 134 Premier League games for the club.

During his time in Manchester Park won four Premier League titles and the Champions League, and was seemingly called upon by Ferguson in the big games.

The Asian superstar left United in 2012 to join QPR and has spent this season on loan at former club PSV Eindhoven.

As one of the veterans in a young side, Park has started 17 games for the Eredivisie side but has suffered knee injuries.

Sport 1 suggest that the former United man is seriously considering ending his playing career in the summer, with injuries taking their toll.

The 33-year-old also played 100 times for his country, scoring 13 goals, before retiring from international football in 2011.
