'I'm so happy for this guy' - David Luiz in Intstagram tribute to Chelsea scorer Salah

The Brazilian was pleased to see his team-mate get on the scoresheet in a Chelsea shirt for the first time yesterday.

Chelsea absolutely thrashed Arsenal yesterday in the early afternoon kick-off - with a performance that firmly pushed the defeat at Aston Villa last week to the back of their minds.

Goals from Samuel Eto’o, Andre Schurrle, Eden Hazard and a couple from Oscar made it 5-0 - before a certain newbie got in on the act at the end.

Mohamed Salah bagged his first, of what Chelsea fans will hope, is many goals for the club to make it six.

It was a typical Salah goal.

He used his pace to get the other side of the opposing defence before finishing coolly beyond an onrushing keeper. Chelsea fans are used to seeing Salah in goal-scoring action for FC Basel - this is the first time they saw him do it for The Blues.

Salah has since spoken about the goal, stating:

“I want to congratulate myself and all the people that helped me stand on my feet. Thank God I got the trust of the managerial staff and I hope it always remains like that. Thank God our relationship is very good and of course I am working with the best manager in the world. He motivated me before the match and before I came on he told me that I would score. Thank God I was up for his trust and I hope it always remains like this.”

And while Salah may be congratulating himself - his team-mates are equally as pleased for the Egyptian.

David Luiz has led the charge however. The Brazilian took to Instagram to send this message to his new team-mate….

Great victory today lads! I'm so happy for this guy@mosalah22 ,u deserve everything bro! Enjoy the life geezers!
