PICTURE: Mohamed Salah celebrates scoring his first Chelsea goal

The Egyptian bagged his first goal for Chelsea this afternoon against Arsenal.

In January Chelsea made moves to bring in the more industrious midfield options that Jose Mourinho craves - whilst letting those more mercurial options leave.

The end result was the departures of Juan Mata and Kevin De Bruyne - and the arrivals of Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah.

In the case of the latter, once again Chelsea stole him from underneath the nose of a Premier League rival.

In the summer they snatched Willian from the grasp of Tottenham Hotspur - in January it was Liverpool’s.

For much of the winter it looked as if Liverpool were on the verge of snapping up the Egyptian but Chelsea swooped in and signed him up instead.

And he certainly looks a good buy.

He runs beyond the defenders and is a cool finisher - although he has not managed to demonstrate that just yet.

Until today.

Salah bagged his first goal for the club this afternoon - notching the sixth goal in the 6-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge.

Clean through, he slotted the ball underneath Wojciech Szczesny for six, and prayed in his celebration.

Here is the goal…
