William Carvalho bagged a goal for Sporting Lisbon yesterday.
Manchester United certainly failed in their summer transfer business in 2013 and with that in mind it appears David Moyes, Ed Woodward and co are ready to get their business done early this time around.
And it is being reported that one such deal is already done - to bring William Carvalho to the club.
In Portugal it has been believed that this is the truth for about a month now - but now the Sunday People have suggested the deal is 100% done.
The report states that United have agreed a £37 million fee with Sporting Lisbon for the 21-year-old - meeting his release clause.
It also claims he had a tour of the Carrington training ground last week - so it would appear this has been in the pipeline for a while now.
He will reportedly join up with his new team after the World Cup in Brazil - and yesterday he highlighted what he can do on his day.
Carvalho plays as a deep midfielder but has the physical attributes to get up and down the pitch with gusto.
He certainly demonstrated that yesterday. Carvalho scored the second goal for Sporting in a 3-1 win against Maritimo - giving United a little teaser of what they can expect next season...
