Luis Suarez scored three goals against Cardiff City in an astonishing 6-3 triumph.
Liverpool’s march toward the title continues and they did so today by breaking the odd record or two.
They took their tally for the Premier League season to a whopping 82 goals scored - surpassing their previous league best of 77 with some ease.
They did so by bagging six goals at the Cardiff City Stadium in a stunning 6-3 win against the relegation battling Welsh outfit.
And once again Luis Suarez was at his imperious best.
Daniel Sturridge bagged one while Martin Skrtel got the second.
But Suarez was superb - smashing home a hat-trick in the glorious win.
That took Suarez to a sensational 28 goals this season - nine ahead of nearest rival and team-mate Daniel Sturridge on 19 and not a single one of those goals is a penalty … a new record.
For Suarez it is just the next big milestone in an excellent campaign and time on Merseyside. It was around this time 12 months ago that Suarez, away on international duty, admitted he would listen to the interest if club’s in the Champions League.
Now it looks like he has fired Liverpool there himself - and the title does not seem out of reach.
Today was clearly another proud day for Suarez as he bagged his third treble of the season.
And he wanted to share the moment with his fans - and did so by posting this picture on his official Twitter account.
