Michael Owen predicts that Chelsea will get the better of Arsenal

Stamford Bridge Inside

The former England international has made his prediction ahead of Chelsea's match against Arsenal.

The top-class Premier League action keeps on coming, with Chelsea and Arsenal kicking off this weekend’s football at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunch-time.

The Blues are currently four points clear of both the Gunners and Liverpool, but a victory for Arsene Wenger’s men would seem just a point off top spot and with a game in hand.

When people talk about footballing six-pointers, this is what they mean!

Jose Mourinho will know how vital today’s game is in the race for the title. And while Arsene Wenger may be celebrating his 1000th game in charge of Arsenal, the previous 999 matter little right now; it is all about winning this one.

Former player turned pundit Michael Owen is one of many to have had his say on this weekend’s games, and his prediction may not go down too well with Gunners fans.

Writing for Sportlobster, he has predicted that Chelsea will win the game.

If that occurs, the Blues will suddenly be seven points clear of Arsenal and that game in hand will look a little less like an ace up their sleeve.

Owen has not always pleased the Arsenal faithful with his predictions and thoughts on the club.

Although that is not the full story, as he has also praised them on a number of occasions this season, and even took back his pre-season prediction that they would finish outside the top-four.

But as for his latest prediction – only time will tell if he was right or wide of the mark.
